Why an Athlete Guarantee Program?

Trust is a major issue for athletes competing for a place in the Olympics and other high profile athletic competitions. Taking nutritional supplements to optimize the body's natural performance shouldn't place an athlete at risk of testing positive for a banned substance. Broadly publicized allegations of contaminants in supplements lead many top athletes to wonder if taking supplements will jeopardize their future ability to qualify for competition. In fact, national Olympic committees (including Canada's) have written to their athletes warning them of the potential danger of contaminants, encouraging them not to consume any nutritional supplements.

To date, no nutritional supplement company has stepped forward to assume their portion of the liability that a banned substance contamination would create. USANA is the first and only to offer an ironclad solution through its Athlete Guarantee Program. USANA is entering into agreements with select Canadian athletes which state that during the term of the agreement should the athlete test positive for a banned substance included in the WADA list as a result of taking the USANA Nutritional products, USANA will compensate that athlete up to $1 million.

USANA is reviewing applications from Canadian athletes who qualify under the terms of the agreement. USANA will enter into an agreement at the Company's discretion. Athletes who wish to be considered for the athlete guarantee should apply below for consideration. Upon review and acceptance of the application a guarantee amount will be decided and a contract will be mailed to the athlete with additional product ordering information.
